Do you have auto air or manual air?
Manual air has the dial for setting the temperature.

1)bad LPCO mounted in the top of the accumulator. 2)low refrigerant charge. To test the LPCO, disconnect it from the accum, and jumper across the terminals. This will engage the compressor clutch. DO NOT LEAVE IT JUMPERED for very long. If low on refrigerant, jumpering will run the compressor without proper oil flow.
If this makes the air cool, replace the switch.
More likely, you are low on R12/R134a. Look for dirty/oily spring lock connnections or at the front seal of the compressor. Do NOT add refrigerant without using gauges, unless you like cleaning things out of your eyeballs.
