I have a 75 F250 with a dana 60 rear. I am assembling the parts to do a rear disc conversion. Many forum members have stated to use the rotor off a 75--87 Chevy K20 4X4 p/u. I pulled the caddy calipers from a 77 seville for the ebrake. With my new pads in place, I find the rotors will not fit in place.
I have noted several forum members who use the above set up. I also noted that the oem caddy rotors, el dorado and seville, are just over 1" thick, where as the chevy ones are 1.28" thick. What am I missing here?
The caddy piston sticks out 3/8" when bottomed out against housing. Is there a shallower piston?
