OK, I just finished with the EBPV delete. Also while there, replaced up pipe donuts. They were leaking badly. This was the most aggravating procedure I have ever done. Even worse than changing the timing belt on a front wheel drive Mitsubishi. The 2 bottom turbo nuts both brought threads from the studs with them when they FINALLY came off. Had to replace studs and nuts. Once it was finally apart. went to local International dealer for parts. They are really proud of their parts, I tell ya. 4 bolts, 2 studs, 6 nuts, 2 donuts, 4 o-rings, 1 turbo gasket cost me $82.64.
Had a guy weld up the holes in the pedestal after I worked it over with my sawzall and grinder. Put all back in new with never-sieze.
I hope I never have to go through that again. Not sure my heart would take it, LOL. Thanks for all the write-ups and talk about this. Without it, I would never have been able to complete it.
Thanks, Brian.
BTW If anyone has a set of stock aluminum wheels for a F350 I am very interested in purchasing a set.
