I'm looking for a crew cab 150, (currently drive a dodge w/ cummins. Everybody ought to make that mistake once in their life.) Dad had an '05 chevy crew cab. Wow, lemon. Ford is also the only one that stood on their own two feet.... Ergo, I'm going to be a Ford man....
So, my question: Have they changed the size of the crew cab since '05? Mostly concerned w/ leg room.
Do you have experience with the ford crew cab or a chevy crew cab? You said in your post that the 05 you were around was a chevy. As far as Ford goes, I think the crew cabs are all the same size from 04-08. I don't know if they changed it with the redesign in 09 or not. I have plenty of leg room in my crew. I am 6'2'' and no problems. Back seat is very roomy as well.
I think the '09+ gained about an inch over the 04-08 models. That being said, the 04-08s have a TON of room. I'm also 6'2ish'' and I can have as much leg room in back as I please in my 2006. My 5'11'' father sat back there just this week with his legs crossed!
From my research, the Ford's have about 1.5" more leg room than the Chebby's and way more than that compared to the Ram. I also found that there is more leg room UP FRONT than the Chebby which also contributes to having more leg room in the back as I don't have to slide the seat back as far. Plus I'm a little closer to the wheel which is nice.
The Ram MegaCab and Tundra CrewMax are really the only things that have more interior volume (in a half ton truck) than the SuperCrew.
Thanks guys. Yeah, Dad's pickup is a crew cab. Doesn't seem to have any room in it compared to my BIL's crew cab Ford. Cousin just got a brand new CC Ford and it has tons of room in it too.

BTW; It's called a Supercrew when it is a FORD.
WOW that's about a 4" gain in rear legroom. Damn, didn't know it grew that much. Impressive.
