Trans leak need help....
Hey new to the forum, I have a 1995 eddie bauer f-150 with the 5.8 351 and c6 trans Not a 4x4...recently my trans started to **** fluid onto the exhuast manifold and smoke like it was the gates of hell opening up ...this only happend after long drives and it was pretty dramatic looking. the truck has been sitting for years and is a family members of mine...to my knowledge the owner of sed truck has never serviced the trans ...and im the first to drive it in about 2 years of sitting ...i was told by a local ford guy that the trans filter may be clogged and its pissing outta the overflow valve ..this seems logical to me but what do you guys think im not really farmiliar with fords any help would be awesome . this leak is coming from the top of the trans and coming over both the right and left sides

Today I dropped the pan on the trans and cleaned it replaced the filter and filled her back up...I drove it around locally and no leaks it also shifts a little stiffer and more like she means buisness...so Im hoping this fixed the problem any one have any objections
