Tow mirror problems

Can anybody help me with a problem im having with my tow mirrors. There hanging up at times an quit moving. i dont know what the problem is. Hope somebody over here can help? I posted over on the superduty forum with no response. Any help would be appreciated. This is on a 2003 PSD. Reg cab with electric mirrors.

not sure this helps but i had to replace my mirror switch when mine wernt working...is it both that dont move or just one? any movement at all?

The contacts on the switch could be dirty too. You may try cleaning the switch.

like HKusp said, Mine quit and I took switch apart and cleaned the contacts. All is great now. Just be careful when taking it apart there are some small parts. Just take it very slow.

The mirrors move but hang up at certain positions. Would it be in the gear mechanism? Are there any mechanics on board?

right, just trying to figure out it its the switch or the mirrors, do they both hangup in the same spot? if so its the switch/switch contacts.

it is the switch. I have taken apart the mirrior and it is hard and a pain.
