ok i have a few different problems with my brakes.---1st---i just replaced the pads on the front and now my pedal is really soft(almost goes to the floor)?---2nd---another thing since i replaced the pads is when i press down on the pedal a couple times in a row,the pedal gets hard and i have no brakes?---3rd---the rear end hops, shudders violently when i brake!this only happens sometimes and it was doing it before i replaced the front pads?any ideas or help would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pull the drums and check the rear shoes. Just finished sons 95 pedal was spongy, new rotors and pads on front, new master cylinder, bled system still now improvement. Rear brakes were completely worn out, down to metal on passenger side but no noise. Did new drums and shoes finally problem solved. Hope this helps. If your parking brake goes way down its a indicator of worn out shoes on rear.
I jave a 1995 F350 4X4 similar issue pedal fade, new pads, new master cyl, new brake booster, ended up being the ABS valve under the driverside frame rail, took care of all the probems $AutoZone $119.00 and Brake place an hour to install. Hope that helps
