If you r worried about head studs dont tune it. Like I said before, can stretch the stock head bolts without a tune. I have 62k on my truck its been tuned for 3/4's of those miles and I dont have any HG issues...yet. Maybe I never will but if and when the time comes to do them I will deal with it them. I just had to do the oil/egr cooler repair.
The difference in the 403, and 309 is price and the quality of the stainless. I put the cheaper of those 2 on my truck and it still looks new 2 years later. They both carry a lifetime warranty so to me it didnt matter, and here in New York when 1 flake hits the ground we salt the ***** out of the roads.
