Just uploaded pic. Valve is from Amazon and seems decent quality. Been on for quite a while and no leaks.
Dogs are my life, our gifts from God!
I bet everyone on this site would agree with me....except those guys that make pups ride in the bed because mud on the upholstery is more important than thier companions safety. And i dont want to hear any "but they like it better in the bed" BS.

AMEN!!! DOGS ARE MY LIFE TOO!!!! Yea I hate seeing a dog in the bed of a truck!! Aggravates the hell out of me! DOGS TRUELY ARE A GIFT FROM GOD ❤️❤️❤️
I will check on the valve. I’m at the vet w my oldest dog ‘Mommy’. She a red nose pitbull. Need’s arthritis medicine and getting a new shot for it too. She’s 12 and slowing down. Love her 🥰
I can see the picture, Didn't know they had a hand operated valve for that, quite nice. I have one of the vacuum operated ones off newer vehicles. I think I swapped the vac line that is used to recirculate the cab air, used only on the MAX AC setting in my truck. Works well enough though.
Can you add a link to the amazon valve you used so its easier for others to find?
I saw the pic now. Thanks! Appreciate ur effort. Could I just put another valve on the other heater hose, like the one I have on it now? I would just have two handles that would be turned off…
Outside of this discussion, but I couldn't help but notice the valve in your heater hose. Great idea, but it should be a 4-port bypass valve so coolant flows properly in system. Many reasons why on different vehicles, t-stat warm up, localized heating of cylinder head, etc, etc.
But cutting off the hot water to the HVAC is definitely a plus. Especially with the older systems and even more in a hot climate.
I got the 4 port valve today. Any advice on which hose goes where. I might b over thinking it bc I want to do it right
