I was told the return T orings if theyre leaking will cause rough idle, is this true? even at operating temperature I don't understand how though, theres that hole in the injector top between the two o ring slits for the returning fuel, so air goes into that tiny hole and thats how it happens?
Like farmert says ... Return Tees cannot cause rough idle.
The Air that return Tees let into the system when not running cause the rough idle but that will go away shortly after startup. (as soon as the air is gone)
Think of the injector as a check valve (one way) with a high pressure setting. Only the excess, low pressure leftover fuel goes into the return side, and it has no effect on the injector (and there fore running) whatsoever.
If you could live with the mess, expense, and so on, you could take the tees and lines all off and your engine will run the same....well, until it catches fire or something!!
Starting would be a b***h though, as that would allow the fuel system to drain back through the filter, unless you plug off the return line that goes back to the filter head.
