Need Wheel adapters

Well, i have a 99 with 17 inch rims and a 94 with 15 inch rims. Needless to say finding good mud tires for a 15 inch rim is tough these days. I hate 12.5 wide tires in snow.

Is there an adapter that will allow me to put a 5x135 rim on a a 5x5.5 bolt pattern. I have tons of tires that are tall and narrow that are good for mud in a 17 inch rim.

Let me know what you guys know.

Thanks.

the 5x135 lug holes need elongated. 15in mud tires hard to find? I can't find any for anything bigger than 16in. There are 31x10.50r15s everywhere.

Yeah I don't see what your saying about having trouble finding tires in 15 inch. Besides that looks better on our trucks anyway. With all the older Jeeps etc there should not be any issue finding a 15 inch mud tire.

I would not use wheels adapters on any vehicle. I consider it a safety issue. I feel the same way about modifying wheels to fit. If the wheel doesn't fit, it doesn't fit.

I don't know what size tire your looking for, but you can get 31 10.50 / 32 11.50 / 33 10.50 in 15 inch sizes in several tires.

33x10.50 35x10.50 or even better 33x 9.50 (only in a bfg A/T)

just go buy 17'' wheels with the proper bolt pattern if thats what you need. i like the look of 17s on early/mid 90s trucks. How about 34x9.5 15 or 38.5x11 15. the 38s actually only have a 9.2" tread width, they are boggers so not much of a snow tire (unless your in the middle of a field).

I think no bigger than 16 inch wheels on pre 97 trucks. Well except for Lightnings.

I don't think I would like the look of 33 9.50 much at all, but the 33 10.50 might look pretty good.

33x9.50 BFG M/T was the most capeable tire i have ever used.

As for the buying new rims. Outta the question. Way to much money.

The wheel offset on the newer trucks is the complete opposite of what our trucks have, on ours the hub is at the center or even towards the inside of the wheel(negative offset) while on the newer trucks it's right at the outside of the rim(positive offset), so even if the wheels fit on the hub they would be tucked way in under the fenders and look dumb.

Aftermarket wheels are not all that spendy... I just bought some 16x10s for $112 eash for my 94.... I changed rim size due to lack of a good a/t in a 33 for a 15 inch wheel... BUT not all aftermarkets fit, even tho they are listed to fit....but a simple mod can be done to make them fit...

Just another option for you...
