stuck accelerator

Question stuck accelerator
I have an 08 diesel 350. The other day the accelerator seemingly stuck going up hill and the engine revved. The dealer said it was the only year that ford had a wireless accelerator in the truck. They said no codes were set and that there was nothing that they could do or replace at this time. I am not comfortable knowing that this could happen in traffic or any other time. Any thoughts or similar occurances??

Find another dealer, if I'm not mistaken all SD's from 03 up are fly by wire accelerators.

All PSD's (when did they come around, 95?) are fly by wire accelerators.

Basically, when they went away from the injection pump to the hydraulic, computer controlled injectors, there was no more use for the cable, so it went away also.

P.S. An '08 would be a 6.4L wouldn't it? You might ask in that forum. But you'll probably get a similar answer.

this is not one I have seen yet. have you check for oil in the charge air cooler?
