I have an '05 with a 6" Trailmaster lift and 35" tires on 18" rims. the height from the ground to the top of the cab is about 6'10". Doesn't fit in any normal garage I've ever seen but that is because the door hangs lower than the actual opening on most garages. As far as the lift doing negative things to the steering, u-joints, etc, I haven't had any problems after 50k miles but I'm sure it's taking its toll.

I have the Fabtech kit on mine with the dirt logic coil overs and it is sweet. Quality parts and I have had no problems at all as of yet. Would definitely say the Fabtech kit is worth the money.

I found a kit today, online, on sale, for around $3300.00 for the 6" Perf. 2.5 Coilovers. Now I cannot find the same site.
Sorry.

Dang, that's a LOT of money for a 6" lift kit.

If I had that kind of money to drop, I'd spend it on a nice set of coilovers front and rear, then get some nice tires.

For instance....

This guy's truck....

vs mine...

Or...

Both are fairly extreme examples with the latter having multiple thousands into it.. but the first could be recreated with a slightly lesser desert look for like 2-3.

My coils and shocks were $450.

I believe I paid about $1800 for the Fabtech Performance Kit with Dirt Logic Coil Overs in front and regular Fabtech shocks for the rear. I bought it from Desert Rat and they priced matched a quote I found online. I think it was priced around $2000 originally. It is priced reasonably at Fabtech Complete Suspension System - Complete Suspension Systems with Shocks - Lift Kits - Lift Kits, Suspensions and Shocks - by 4 Wheel Parts-RH2. Sometimes they go on sale or you could keep shopping around. Hope this helps.

GoodwinFord check out Skyjacker lifts. I have been looking to add a 6" suspension lift and from what I researched there are some that say you need to rebalance the drive shafts. Skyjacker is one that doesnt need much after installed.
