A friend has a set of 15x10 wheels for sale (I haven't seen them yet) that have 3 3/4" backspacing. Where is that measured exactly? Would that be a pretty deep "dish"?
So, just to clarify, is the "mounting face" the inside of the rim that goes against the hub/rotor or is it the outside you can see without getting under your truck?
It's what goes against the hub. You cannot measure it without unmounting a wheel. On a 96, stock backspace is about 4-1/4" with 7.5' wide rims. With my 8" rims, I'm at 4-7/16" backspace. If your truck is similar, those rims will not fit it very well.
Alot of guys on here say they are running 15x10 with a 4 inch backspacing on the 87-96 without any problems. Don't know about 3-3/4. Might wear out wheel bearings prematurely.
