These trucks are hard to find right now with out ordering one. My salesman found one though. It is an 2011 F-350 Lariat CC SB FX4 Pkg. Ultimate Pkg. w. the 6.7 Diesel. It has everything i want except one thing concerns me. The sticker says 10.000 GVW and most of the F-350's i have looked at online are 11,500 GVW. Should i be concerned? Our 5er is about 8,600 UVW or 10,600 loaded Pin WT. is 1800. Thanks Craig
They are all the same truck but registered differently from state to state to avoid huge registration fees. You can get a citation though if you are caught exceeding it even though the truck is capable.
Never have seen a citation for this issue. This gets beaten to death on the RV forum. Michigan does not care what your door sticker says. Your trailer is light enough any way?

As pointed out by mvedepo it has to do with the way that some states register SD's that can cost a whole lot more when your GVWR is over 10K, so Ford offers a 10K GVWR option package on the F-350's that on paper gives the truck the same GVWR as a F-250. This is a unnecessary option in MI.
With a 1.8K pin weight and a 10K GVWR on the truck you are looking at, you technically would be overweight or pretty close to it even before adding yourself to the driver seat let alone anyone else in the cab with you...
Although this will not help the OP, I responded to this same scenario a while back on the RV forum. I made the statement that manufacturers actually do this sticker nonsense for licensing purposes. I was called an idiot and a liar. Well. one out of two ain't bad I guess...As Powerstroke HD said, this is a totally useless option in Michigan. Why a dealer even has it on his lot is a mystery or big mistake. I re-did the math today and you will be over the GVW with that trailer. My F350 CC SB 4x4 with full fuel, hitch, Honda CT70 trail bike, Deb and I and the dog weighs 8700 pounds. You would be 500 over on GVW with your 1800 pin weight. Is that a big deal? The truck will not know it, 99% of all the people that see your new F350 will not know it, but you will. Your call. As to F350 availability, Woodhouse Ford in Blair, Nebraska has 89 diesels in stock, many like the one you mentioned. I live in Michigan and I bought my truck from them. They will deliver it to your door.
