stock bed into a dumper?

stock bed into a dumper?
Has anyone taken the stock bed and mounted it onto a trailer and made it into a dumper? How much bracing would it take? Im gonna put a nice flatbed on my blue truck I think, and the old box would make a fine trailer. Its already beat all to hell so I wouldnt feel too bad if it got banged up by a skidsteer or something.

They make hoist kits for pickup beds... I've seen them in a couple places online.
A problem with mounting the bed on a trailer would be that the trailer would have to be pretty narrow to fit on the box crossmembers.

To use it as a dump box on a trailer you would have to make a dumping frame for it, something to carry the weight front to back, which then increases your box height. If you are building a trailer to go under it, then a frame for the box, just build the whole thing as a regular dump trailer and save the effort. No wheelwells to trap material, and all the rest of it.
