Got my Custom air Inlet Tube Finished and Installed

I've been working on a 4" air inlet tube for my Truck to accommodate my
6637 filter and Petes cover. This is how it turned out what do you think ?
I used 3 45* angles and 1 strait peice of 4" aluminum pipe. Cut it to fit the way I wanted it too welded it togeather and painted it. Here are some pictures. I also did the CCV rerought at time of install.(click on pictures to enlarge)

This is my CCV Canister I redesinged it a little so it wouldn't half to put anything inside it. It swirls the gasses to sepperate the oil from the gasses. Been running it now for about a week now with no problems.

Used CPVC pipe for plumbing so far so good.

WOW that looks great I would love to do that to my intake tube

Got a couple question thou....What is the nipple for on the tube? Also why did you put the CCV tube part in this tubing if you did the ccv rerouting?

Thanks....Tom

That looks great! did you route the CCV thru the catch can and back into the intake?

Nice job.
Have you put a flexible coupling between your fabricated intake tube and the turbo inlet?

If not, do you think the vibration of the engine may end up causing your intake tube to fatigue crack next the turbo inlet?

I also built my own CCV swirl chamber - I filled mine with S/S wool and let the outlet vent to the air rather than recirculate it back through the intake. I pulled my turbo apart yesterday and found oil marks in the inlet compressor housing - there is no way I want to take the chance of letting oily fumes through my turbo inlet compressor and IC plumbing again.

How did you attach the plastic CCV inlet to the aluminum tubing? With your level of fabrication skills, I'm surprised you didn't just weld in a pipe nipple and shape the inlet the same as the plastic piece.

As mentioned, keep an eye on the boot connecting your pipe to the turbo. The bumps along the road will put a lot of stress on the boot so watch for tears.

Looks great.

Wow, that sure was a nice looking CCV that you started with

That is an amazing job.

How much is Clay going to sell them for?

I think that you should call it the "Deluxe" air intake.
