I have a 98 ranger 2.5 2wd
Does anybody know were I can find a Fuel Vapor Canister Purge Valve?
I have checked all local parts stores and nobody has a listing looked online and cant find one there either. My license plate sticker is due at the end of the month but I cant get a new sticker unless I pass emissions test.

 

Vapor Canister Purge Valve. Take the old one off and look for a part number on it.

That's the solenoid located on left side fender I need the valve that's by the canister.

More Information for MOTORCRAFT CX2127

CX 2127 shows as part number, $49.79

 

That's the under hood valve. They have 2 different part listings for Vapor canister purge solenoid and vapor Purge valve but there both the same.

 

2001 Service Manual indicates part called canister vent solenoid as the part on the canister.

Check with the local Ford Dealer, bring about 100, expect thirty change.

 

Did you take off the part and look for a part number?
