Wink '99 Dash drink holder?

Would anyone know how to remove it? I am going to contact the Classic Consoles folks and see if they can make us a unit like they make for '73-'79s that replaces the ash tray-my factory holder in my '99 won't hold anything very long, and the Classic Consoler guys stuff is top notch!!

Its very easy. It is 4 8mm screws if I remember right the hardest part is twisting your body around to get them out. You have to remove the ashtray and then take out the screws a good tug and out it comes. I installed the newer model one and got rid of the spillomatic. Cost me about $40 at the stealership

You may have to spray it to match. I got lucky and found one that matched my color in my parts truck.
There is some hidden bolts under the ashtray area.
I believe the 2000-2003 is what your looking for. They are alot better than the e99's

I would take a pic of mine for you, but I think the transmission shop is closed right now...
I believe your correct about the color change. My 02 cup holder is a bit darker than the rest of the dash. It matches the dash that surrounds the gauges and radio, its darker also.

WOW $75...I guess its supply and demand.
Your lucky with Bella, my two Jack Russells like to put their paws on the power lock switch and screw up the lock fix that I spent a day doing....

Wink

rebelmdp: Thanks for the info on getting a new one from Ed-price seems too cheap!! I looked on Ebay and there is an '03 used one that will take more than $40.00 to buy so the new route from Ed is better anyway!!-and I need some other odds & ends as well so I'm going to hit Ed up this week and get it all together.-Rick

Ed is a great guy to deal with I bought all my parts from him when I redid my front wheel hub assemblies.

I understand that the shade of Prairie Tan changed somewhere after 2000 from medium to light, Ed is recomending I get a 2000 unit, my question is will it be the newer NON-SPILOMATIC one or just a new pos like the original I have in my L99?
I have also taken a look at my front face panel and it looks like it comes off, so I could swap it to a new one if I need to........
