not sure on the color of tan dashes, but this was one of the best mods i have done. even when the truck isnt running it is still in use. since we are on the subject of cupholders does any one know if you can replace the open change holder in the center console for the one that has two cupholders in it.
Thanks!! Thats what I suspected, I'm not completely sure Ed is understanding why I want to order an '03 unit......I'm not sure when Ford changed the design on these things but thankfully they did.....I believe that the front panel can be swapped from one unit to anouther, mine seems to have some small screws holding it on-Boy these Spil-o-matics are agravating!!! I have spilled many a bottle of water from mine-thanks to my Huskyliner mats they catch every drop-don't drink anything else in the truck.
My 2000 has a small ****ty one that when you pull it out something comes up in the back and it was broke when i bought it!
Last week I went to a junk yard and found a cup holder with the shape like mine only it was brown in color not gray like mine, so I opened it up and it was different! It has 2 things drop out from the bottom which makes it a little deeper and a little nicer. It was not in a vehicle it was just on the ground! So what year it was from I have no idea.
For $5 i couldn't say no. I put it in to make sure it would clear my shifter and it did so i took the face plate off my original one and used super 2 part epoxy to adhese it on and its been great! Not a bad $5 fix at all!
