I am a new member I have gotten so much help in the past I felt guilty not supporting it.My question is what are reps and how do you send them I am grateful to everyone here and the helpp thay offer. Also how do yu join the roadside assistance network? Thanks
In the upper right corner of each post is the word "Permalink". Directly to the right of that is a "heart". Click on that if you see a post that catches your eye as being particularly helpful. Fill in the blanks, and submit it. Easy-peasy.
Roadside Help Network comes easy, too, but after we get to know you just a bit. We trust each other to help out when we're in a jam on the road, and we share phone numbers and addresses, so we're just a bit careful with opening the records up until we get a sense about someone. Hope you understand.
Now that Pop has told you how to rep some one here is lesson number 2....
Each Dk green box is worth 100 points each lightt green box is worth 200 pts. There is software that assings the "tag line" to each step in the rep system. (Great reptutation, off to a great start etc) When you rep some one it usually adds 2-3 points on the average to their rep points. The "stronger" your reputation the more that your reps are "worth" Now this is where it gets a tad bit confusing....If you "use up" all your reps every day then your reps are not "worth" as many points as some one who dosen;t give them out as often. For example I haven't been maxing out my reps lately I repped some one last week and they sent a pm thanking me, they were 5 points away from the next green box that rep was worth 6 points to them. If you rep the same people over and over that also "down sizes" the points on the rep.
On the flip side of all of this negative reps do the same. The higher your reputaion the more it takes from the person. Be very careful about negative repping someone though they usually retaliate by negative repping you back.
I hope this adds a little more insight to the system for you.
thank you both for your time and explanations.I absolutely understand about the guarding of personal information in regard to the roadside network, its nice to see that caution is used in sharing that info.
