'59 cab mount/bushing/spacer
Can someone tell me how thick the rubber bushings are supposed to be under the cab mounts on a '57-60 2wd truck?
Thanks

anyone have any idea? My buddy has an extra set of bushings and I'm trying to figure out if it's close enough to the right size.

The rear ones on mine are 1 1/16".
The ones on the rad support and under the front of the cab appear to be just square pads that are about 1/4"

Don't bother, the 1957/63 Ford truck parts catalog does not list the sizes, all it sez is:
"Improvise from tire carcass."
Carpenter lists a cab mount bushing and hardware kit for 1957/60. His part number B7C5400S.
Call and ask what the sizes are: 800-476-9653 and order his free 1957/66 truck repro parts catalog.
The kit is listed and illustrated on page 20.

By looking at the old pads on my 49 it appears that conveyor belting was used in some of the places.
