Tail Gate issues??????

Tail Gate issues??????

Hello again Gents! I have what will seem like a simple question for most of you out there and i am hoping you all can get me a right answer, so here goes. Will a Tail gate from a 85 F-150 fit my 92 f-250. There you go, simple right? If you all got some answers for me i will sure appreciate them. Look forward to hearing your replies. Thank you!!

i beleive it will fit, not sure if the body lines line up.. some one said the tailgates from the 80s to the early 2000s are all interchangable but pbviosly have different bodylines

I don't think it'll fit....pretty sure that the latches/strikers are different. It might be the same size, but the hardware is different.

No it will not fit. The lower hinges are diffrent sizes. Tail gates from 87 on should fit.

Yes it will 'FIT' Alot of 80-86 guys run 87-96 tailgates. Do a search and you will turn up what you need to make it work. Different strikers and I think hinges.

Yes you will have to remove spot welds and reweld the lower hinges back on, not a "bolt on" option like the OP needs. I have done this allready. The 87 up use small hinges than the 80 to 86 trucks

I didn't see anything where he said he needed "bolt on".
