I was just going through the papers that came with my truck when i got it and came across the window sticker. Anyway one of the options listed is "handling package" i was just wondering what that was if it was like performance suspension or something for towing or what. I have a 1989 f-150 xlt lariat.
My '89 has the handling package too. It has the quad shock setup in the front, sway bars front and back. I'm not sure if different springs were part of the package too. My truck always seemed to sit a little higher than other trucks of the same year.
I from there is a Coil Spring Tower for the Dual shock setup. Would it be possible to convert a 2wd '89 F-150 to the quad setup? As well as adding 1.5"-2" lift springs?
I added the quad shock tower to my truck, but I think you'll have trouble adding the LOWER aux shock mount to a 2WD axle. I think it CAN be done, but I doubt it'll just bolt on.
My truck had the handling package... it handles good for a 4wd, very little body roll. It sat higher than other 150's also, but i don't have the quad shock front end. I used to drift the truck up and down this one road all the time, my friend tried it in his K1500 and almost flipped (ended up in a field, pretty funny to watch) Whatever they put on it it makes a difference. I got sway bars for sale if anybody wants em
