So, Oreo ... If you were on a trip and noticed you were leaking water, you fix it, you'll just top it off with water (ruining your mix) until you get back ... Thus effectivly wasting whatever was left of your coolant???
Of course you don't have enough of your expensive non readily available coolant to top off with!
Try NAPA NAF HD1GAL a bit cheaper than Fleetcharge and should work just as good. My local NAPA supplies tons of the stuff to a huge local H/D equipment manufacturer.
no, you notcie a leak then you have coolant to replace 50/50. you blow a heater core line and drain your whole damn block then you have no choice but to start over again. i blew a line, drove maybe 1/4 mile to get off the highway and to the gas station and took 7 gallons of water to fill be back up.

Pretty sure the coolant would be pretty wasted already. fleetcharge costs more then the ELC I got. Unless it was a simple heatercore leak I wouldn't spend another 11$ just to top it off for a couple miles.
Most leaks I've had required drainin most of the coolant out just to fix, a heater core problem wouldnt, but any of the rest of the system would ie damaged radiator which is more common in my world
you think cat is any more expensive then any other elc? if so, then your getting screwed on your cat OR your stealing the elc from the auto parts place.
not at all. i just said i like cat and you are bashing it. you are wrong about the price, and as far as your "what if" then i simply stated a fact that if your driving, your heater hose blows then your gonna drain your system. if it doesnt then theres no reason the gallon or two you carry with you wont handle the issue. empty radiator will only take 4 gallons, thats 2 water 2 antifreeze. if you werent so set on opposing ME then you would see the ignorance of YOUR statements as well. i never told him or you that you had to go with cat did i? nope.... just said thats what i have, what i use, what i like.

Oreo, I'm not set on opposing you, if I was I would say a lot more ...
I am also not bashing CAT coolant, I'm sure it's fine, However I don't see how it's possible that you personally would know, you haven't used it long enough, you are using it based on someone else's opinion!
All I suggest is that people use a coolant that is readily available everywhere!
I have had many hoses blow and not drain the system, if you drain the system then you are not paying attention to your driving duties!

personally I've used CAT for well over 300k miles on my 2 work trucks. One a 89 F-superduty and the other a 01 F-350. The company I worked for has used cat coolant for over 10 years. Speaks volumes to me but maybe I'm just a stupid "kid"
