maybe third time is the charm.....

First theory behind my trucks sickness what EBP sensor, then bad turbo seal, checked the exhaust downpipe, and inside the hot side of the turbo, no oil only soot. So what else could be making in burn oil so bad? Piston rings? so far its burnt a quart of oil in 10 miles and so idling done for diagnosis.

thanks everyone that already helped, more is apreciated

Lakewood,

is the truck smoking while driving? consistent or just from stops? What Color? , If not smoking , has your coolant level incresed in the overflow bottle?

truck has no boost, it happened at night so was hard to tell if it was smoking, i thought is was the EBP since it worked one seconded and not the next. replaced the EBP, nothing, then i noticed the blue smoke out the tailpipe, truck smells like a two-stroke and exhaust looks like a flooded two stroke. So far its burned almost a quart of oil. took the down pipe off the turbo to check for oil, and nothing. Talked to the ford tech that did my EGR delete, oil cooler, etc. He lives 50 miles away so i will hopefully be trailering the truck to his house on thursday.

Coolant level hasnt changed

Can you feel any excess crankcase pressure at your dipstick tube?

Yes - while the engine is running. Pull the dipstick out and feel for any backpressure w/ your finger (or you could put a temporary gauge on it like I did). You could also run up the idle to 2000 rpm's or so and see if that makes a difference.

Is this the same problem that you have had for the other 3 posts you have posted about this problem, or did you fix it once and it came back?

Bismic,

what would this lead to if there was back-pressure from the dipstick?

Thanks

Ok, so if the engine is good, then there would be no pressure or some pressure, if its bad there is a lot of pressure?

Ford spec is 0.3 psig max.

On mine, I get less than 0.1 psig and even pull a slight vacuum when accelerating hard (due to the ccv system connecting up to the turbo intake).

Could the turbo also be leaking on the cold side, putting the oil through the intake, and then burning it in the piston?

long of the short yes if the turbo can induce oil in to the intake.
