oil leak
i was looking under the truck today and seem some oil on the front drive shaft, oil pan, exahust y-pipe and surounding areas.i know it is a broad area to look but what could it be. my driver side valve cover was leakin and 5 of the bolts was loose so i tightend them up so i dont think it is that. i really dont know where else to look?

Either add dye to your oil or clean it up so you can see where it's coming from...
If your rocker cover was that loose, You may have residual oil still running everywhere.
After I tightened my '86's loose rocker covers it took a week of use for it to quit dripping!

So in reading this i would have you look at the front crank shaft seal or front of the oil pan where it dips down to seal around the block. Mine was doing that and it covered everything. That fan blows a lot of air around and the oil goes with the flow.
