dream weaver/steering play
hi this is my first post what i have is a 76 f150 ranger xlt 4x4 just about completely restored and am having steering problems,everything under truck is new ball joints,have new t style tie rods and drag link,new drop pitman arm,and new steering gear box,all bushing are new poly(c-bushings,track bar,radius arm)there is a little play at pitman arm but is torqued pass spec.this truck has 4 inch lift with a all terrain 33 inch tire and should drive better then it does,between 3 and 4 inches of play in steering..u-joint and rag joint good has anyone welded pitman arm nut to pitman arm to stop the sideways play? its the only thing i can think of thats causing the problem,ive heard 3 inches of steering wheel play equals 1/4 inch of play at pitman arm thanks for any help love the site.
