Replace float during carb rebuild?

I will be rebuilding my 2150 carb soon and wondering is it a good idea to replace the float while it's apart? If so, is the brass version better than the plastic? Thanks.

IMO, replace the float. The nitrophyl floats are better than the brass as there are no seams to split or pinholes to form.

Agreed. If you've got the original brass float, replace it for sure. If you've already got the Nitrophyl-style float and the tang is nice and straight, it's probably fine.
