Condenser under coil?

Hello folks. I have a 90 E250, 4.9. Under my coil is a "condenser" with its lead going to one of the coil leads. Is this a required item for ignition like back when distributors had points and condensers? Or is this just for radio suppression? The local auto parts stores have no listing, and it does not appear in any of my manuals.

It is just a capacitor for the radio.
Any auto parts store should have one if they look it up right.
They changed the name from condenser to capacitor in 1922 when they found out that the item did not condense power away as they had thought.
