My power point access died quite a while back. This weekend, while goofing with the GPS, I looked into it. Its not a bad fuse. It seems terribly hard to get into it and even when I do, I'm not sure what I'd be looking for.
well, it was an idea. I have no idea on how to get it out. For mine the little panel that the power point and the 4x4 switch pop out exposing bolts that hold the center stack on.
That will just pop off exposing the stereo and stuff.

Has anyone else had this problem?
Thank you,

Did you ever get this resolved?
I am having a similar issue, but mine is with the cigar lighter port. I tried to remove it today...after pulling the blown 20A fuse #12; but no go.
Anybody know how to remove the cigar lighter???
I tried by removing the trash holder hook piece...and getting access to the rear of cigar lighter port. But...could not remove it...
My power point fuse blew and I replaced it. I then plugged an accessory into the outlet and as I plugged it in, the fuse blew again. Some power point sockets appear to short internally from other posting I have seen. I haven't debugged mine any further, butwill, someday.

Yes, they most certainly do....I skipped over that little step one time and over-analyzed the circuit for around 3 hours before figuring it out. Glad you didn't waste much time...hopefully

What I am curious about is how to remove the cigar socket???
I took the trash hook panel off...and was able to get at the back of the socket, but was unsure how to remove the socket. So...rather than breaking something...I installed the trash hook back.
