The Titan rep called me and said they have the 50 gal. replacment fuel tank ready. Before I order one has anybody found a better replacment fuel tank?

I understand the Titan to be the cream of the crop. Did he give you any more details? Price, shipping, skid plates? I am sooooo ready for better range.

Did he give you a price on the new tank.

I don't care if the "miles to empty" don't compute....
I need a bigger tank.

I was in Fla. when he called and he said he would call back this week. He said the tank fit perfect and would top off at 51 gal. The fuel gauge will read full untill it reaches the 26 gal. mark, then your fuel gauge will work as normal. He did say I would get a discount if I ordered by end of this week.

I just checked Titans web site. Fuel tank with the rebate is 1,098.00 and skid plate if ordered with tank is 129.00. I guess from what he said if I order this week I will get the 100.00 rebate.

Here's the website. Looks like the retail discount offer will be good until 10/14/10 or until they start shipping tanks. That's only a month away.

That's a pretty good chunk of change. I won't need one till next summer again. Hopefully the price will be lower once they got them out on the market.

There was a conversation awhile back about a group buy. Has anyone looked into that?

I am interested in a group buy if we can get it cheap enough - Also don't forget about the HD tank protector that they charge extra 99.00 for - I also want one of those.

I am interested as well. Going to check on a couple of local sources that ship them in regularly. I'm not all that jazzed about replacing the tank myself so I'm looking into the tank plus installation route. If, however, Titan wants to make a really good deal for FTE members, I'm all for it.

500.00 for Install Seems steep - shouldn't take more than 1.5 hours - you ought to consider another labor quote.
