I am having a problem and must be missing a piece of info so I am hoping someone here will think about something I haven't. I installed a Roady 2 XM radio to my Ex. I tapped into the power on wire of the radio for power and grounded it to the dash chasis. The problem is I constantly blow the fuse in the cig lighter plug you use for the XM radio and the 15amp fuse in the fuse block for the radio. I have swapped out the Roady's, I have 2, and also swapped out the power wires in case that was bad but I am still having the problem. I thought that possibly the tapcom I used to connect to the power wire was bad so soldered the connection and again the problem. What am I missing? Any suggestions? I am using the FM modulator that also powers the unit up for a power line.
something isn't right....you might be pulling too much power from the radio fuse...???
there are a few wires behind the fuse box taped to the harness....red, white, blue, black, etc... the ends are all cut, these are for customer access there is one that is WH/LB (white with light blue stripe) that is hot in run fused at 10 amps...try using that one and see if that works. the power on for the radio is only a signal wire, not for adding accessories. let us know if you have any other questions....
Well I found the customer access wires and there were three wires with them. A red/white a yellow/white and a green(possibly blue)/white. Checked all three for power with key on, running and accessory but they don't have power. Checked the fuse in the fuse block marked customer access and it was good. Any ideas?

...........hmm I haven't actually used mine. I have the 2005 Ex wiring diagram, send me a pm with your email and I'll send it to you.
Customer access, not used w/ wire end:
RD, DB, WH, BK The other end of these are near the firewall in the engine compartment.
Thanks for your help Hunter. PM was sent. I'm guessing the LG/Wh wire is the tach wire, not sure what the red/white and yellow/white are and can't find a blue/white anywheres.
Hunter thanks for your help. I finally pulled out the fuse box and traced the white and blue wire. It was on the other side tucked in near the radio. It looked as if someone before me used it for something as it was cut very short and had a piece of regular electrical tape on the end. Anyways I used it and voila, no more problems.
