Another 400 build..............

I am currently Building another 400 for my 78 ranger, and this time its being done the right way! It currently sits at the machine shop waiting for my reply. The part that stops me in my tracks is choice of pistons. They have a set of rods that are already bushed to accept 351c pistons, the pistons they have are a set KB flat tops, I can get this combo for 200.00, this is all due to a previous non paying customer. Or buy the Tmeyer pistons for 295.00??? I will be running a set of the Aussie heads on this motor so please consider that to. I'm looking for opinions with the bushed rods and 351c pistons. Is there any known problems in doing so? Please Chime in with your personal experience! Thanks Luke

Well noww youre stuck wth 351c pistons haha, TMIs in mi opinion were a better choice due to the compression height being closer to a 400 block but take the 200 buck otption. Its defenitivly a cheaper way to go and not a bad one....

I got some weight on my shoulders now, my brother is a Gov't motors fan and he has a 454 in his burban, and hes been talking smack about the fords i love. I think its time in a few weeks to show him some kind brotherly love and show him what this "Boat Anchor" 400 will do.
