Replacement panels

Looked at all that is available, EMS, Direct Sheetmetal, Bitchin... you name it, I checked 'em out.

Decided on Northern Classic Trucks for my replacement floorpans/Trans cover, front cab corners & front cab mount.

Could Not Be Happier with the quality, workmanship and fitment. $$ well spent.

One side down, one to go.

Round #2:

Nice looking work, too. Where is Northern Classics? Do they have patch panels for the front of the rear fenders?

Northern Classic Trucks - Reproduction parts for your antique Ford truck .

Don't know about the fender parts, didn't need them myself.

Think I'm going to get my bed from them as well in a few months.

Hey kid, looks good! If you put your truck year in a signature line this lazy old guy woud’t have to look it up….1952! …….‘cause I wanted to ask you a question and not much sense if it’s the wrong year, right?

Did any of those manufactures offer a raised trans cover for a bigger/larger transmission? Thanks.

Glad you posted, many times I've recommended Northern Classics when some one has posted requests for sheet metal sources. I've heard they're pretty good but it's nice to see their parts in an application.

Or make a custom one off trans cover for your specific application . This is for a '52 with 428/C-6 set as far back and high as possible .

Direct Sheetmetal will make any trans cover that you need, just call Dave and tell him what you want.

The floor looks nice! Want to come over and do both of my Panel trucks? I'll supply the cold adult beverages.

It's never too late to learn Julie, you would love it. Just get yourself a machine, a bunch of scrap and give it to it.

Welding is like hot glueing except with a lot of sparks and a lot more heat.

Mig has a very easy learning curve. A weekend of practice and you'll be a welding fool!

Ditto, besides migs are so cool and easy to use. (just stay away from the flux-core wire)

I grew up on stick welders but I absolutely love my Mig. Really Wish I had a plasma cutter too....

Especially when welding these floorpans, etc. so thin you're really just tacking it a thousand times instead of laying down a continous bead.

Ditto again, practice makes perfect really applies. Google for info on how to weld, plenty of free/good info out there and then just practice.
