I have a 2004 F-250 SD Triton V-10. There is a light on the Automatic shift lever for OVERDRIVE.
The other night I was trav eling on the interstate at 77.5 mph in cruise control. The OVERDRIVE light started flashing. Then it stopped for a while, then it started again. Nothing seemed to be wrong with the truck at the time, all was running fine.
Anybody know why my OVERDRIVE light was flashing. Owners manual was no help.
start with the cheap fix. $25-$35 or so. the abs sensor on the middle of the rear axle right above the driveshaft. That little sensor creats the pulses which control the abs, speedo, trans shift, and cruise. if it is not reading correctly, it will throw codes and cause the od light to flash.
