Recently my heater core sprung a leak there, were no obvious wet spots.
I could only smell the sweet scent of coolant.
Swapped out the core and all things good.

Keep in mind that the heater box vent tube can get plugged therefore no leak under the truck and you may not have lost enough fluid to be noticeable....If you have the sweet smell of antifreeze inside the truck it is generally a heater core....You could always have a local shop put coolant dye into the system for you and run it a week or so and then check things out with a black light....

Definitely sounds like the heater core is starting to weep. However, I'd still check everything else you can think of. The stuff can evaporate if the leak isn't big, and that smell you smell is the evaporation.
