My main use of my truck is it is my daily driver, and I also use it for work on a regular basis loading it up between 1-4000lb's of dirt/gravel/cement/wood/concrete/drywall, and dispose of it. I know according to the production info your not supposed to load it so much being only a upgraded 3/4 ton, but the freakin' thing takes it like a bloody champ. With the exception of acceleration, it doesn't suffer any noticeable performance issues.
I like the look of bigger tires, but it could be I'd abuse them to much with the weight I put on them regularly.
well sometimes you want the extra size for some more payload rating.don't be too scared to try 'em.it's just some people get carried away with a good thing, and then wounder where all their performance went lol.one or two sizes, isn't gunna kill ya.
id be careful if your starting with 3.55's.if you have 4.10's id go taller, and not worry at all with your loads.
if your 2wd.i wouldn't touch wider sneakers in snow county though.
i can't wait for some snow.im gunna lmao with these duallies.im gunna have a little fun(close to home),and then run single lol.
my work slows way down in winter,so i can just haul lighter loads during the winter and wont be an issue taking a few extra trips.
I don't have a clue what I'm running, and wouldn't know how to check, but I assume 3.55's. As I have kinda a slow take off running stock tires, personally I don't care, thats the person behind me's problem.
The extra payload would be great, as my tires kinda sag a bit on the heavy loads, lost my hubcap the other day on a particularly heavy load, actually had to fill the tire a bit mid load, apparently it was low, and I didn't notice till I tossed like 3k of mixed fill in it.
My truck is 4wd, so I'm not 'that' worried about the winter, I just want to get rid of my crap rears, and use them for winter/offroading/camping trips. Come summer time they seem like they'd be a waste, and really isn't summer when you care about your mpg? Winter, I can live with spending an extra $10-20 a week, getting from A-B safely.
I'll prolly switch to 4.10's come spring, and look into taller tires.
