ok, i was lookin up some different cam options for my truck and
came up with these 2 options:
1)crane power max 260h grind pt #=h-260-2 w/ lifters
2)blueracer 270H pt #=wg-5027 w/ lifters
so my question is, which would be better suited for a daily driver,
offer the most horsepower/torque,be EFI friendly and still keep the power
band stock (or darn close)
also, where can i buy the blueracer cam from, i cant find it nowhere.
jeez, dude, you keep asking the same questions....slow it down abit there.
ok, on the cam, the blueracer is the only cam that crane says is efi friendly, but looking at the new grind of the 260-2 (at least, newly promoted grind), it should be mild enough to at least half-way work with the stock efi system, yet provides a lot more torque and hp than the blueracer. you will have to reprogram your efi with that cam eventually to make full use of it, as well as an injector swap. on the + side, crane lists it as emmissions legal, so............
i know the crane site sells both cams for around 130 bucks, dont know if that inludes lifters, but also get springs, it'll save you a big headache(no pun intended) later on.
i talked to someone with the blueracer and he said he likes it, and being EFI friendly it might be my choice...doesnt seem like a lot of people did a cam swap in here...
If a 270 cam is EFI friendly the 260 should definitely be OK with EFI. You should be able to get the Blue Racer from a parts store, they are owned by Crane or Comp so check those websites.
