2004, 6 liter diesel, vacuum pump question

this is an olllld thread but 12 pages deep into a google search on trying to diagnose my inoperative turn signals i found this thread and that fuse was the culprit.. just thought i'd hopefully help someone in my situation, since the problem is usually the flasher relay or multi-function switch. the manual i printed off has fuse #27 listed as the "ingition switch run feed" or something.. not exactly what i'd associate the blinkers with.

Sometimes a hub gets out of sync with the solenoid. Try this. Engine off. First make sure both hubs are in the AUTO position. Turn them each counterclockwise while facing each wheel. In fact, turn each **** back and forth a few times, ending in the counterclockwise position. Then grab the U-joint on each axle and try to turn it. If it turns, then it is unlocked as it should be. If one isn't unlocked, you've got a locked up hub. Fix that. At that point you can test using the control system.
