stroking a 351w

okay ive built a pretty stout 351w. and its in my 88 f150. i put a carb in instead of efi. so the fact is it just doesnt have enough torque for me. dont get me wrong itll burn the hell outta the tires but i just want more from it. its probly puttin out around 400 flbs maybe alittle more. havent dynoed it. but its running 10.5:1 compression with allm heads. just any suggestions on kits or kits i could make up myself. clearances lengths anything would be a help. i pretty much just want help putting the whole kit together so i can see what im going to be dealing with. thanks in advanced guys! and im looking to go as big as i can without having to cut into the block.

I would think about how much the stroker kit is going to cost, versus selling the engine you have now and going to a 460. Granted you will need another tranny or bellhousing to match the 460, but that might be a good thing depending on what tranny you have right now. If you don't put any weight in the back, I suppose the rearend will last. But you do need think about the overall package when you start raising the horsepower.

i have thought about that. i have just invested to much money into my auto tranny(aod) and ive put to much money in the tranny its self with valve bodies shift kits lokar linkage and all that that i want to keep my setup cuase ive kinda got the kinks worked out. ive considered a bigger motor but then id have to build the motor and then the tranny all over and that would be much more expensive than wat im looking to spend. right now ive got about 9 grand in my motor and tranny.
