Should just need to pop off the two rubber covers on (top and bottom) the "Assist Handle", then there's a bolt under each that needs to be removed and the handle comes right off.

A piller

No bolts. Looks more like a stud.

That's what it is. It's a threaded bolt with an extended head. Don't worry, just remove it, the handle will come off. I used my socket set. I don't remember which size, but I used a deep socket.

A piller grab handle

The very top of the (what I thought was a stud) turns out to be a 7/32 hex. It looked round to me. Time to upgrade the glasses. My bad. Thanks for the help Totoro.

I think the technical term for that part is the "Passenger Assist Module".

Parts guide calls it an "Assist Handle", a little more neutral since it exists on both A and B Pillars.

A piller assist/module handle

Thanks for the education guys, but when I get in or out I (grab) my assist/module device. Thanks again. I went to my dealer today to pick up a part and asked how much to replace plugs. They told me between 650. and 1000. After they picked me up from the floor, I asked if a oil change would be any cheeper. Not being able to do this myself I will pay the piper. Just bought this 05 and thought I did my homework, must have missed that one. This is a great forum with guys like you to help people like me. Thanks again.

How many miles do you have on it? I waited to 130k to do my plugs. No performance issues, but it was nagging at me to get it done since it was 30k over the suggested interval. Mileage went up around 2mpg afterwards.

Plugs

Just hit 100,000. When I went to the dealer to ask about the plugs, the service mgr. told me unless I'm having a problem keep driving.

When you breakdown is he going to send out a tow truck at no charge? When you breakdown and miss work, is going to compensate you for the lost income? When talking about preventative maintenance the key word is preventative. The plugs and the engine are engineered for 100K miles on a set of plugs, since you have reached the milestone, then it is time to change the plugs.

Of course if you're planning on trading the vehicle in sometime in the near future then I wouldn't change them.

See if you can find a reliable local shop or mechanic to do the job. I believe the dealers as so used to raping everyone that comes in they continue to charge outrageous prices for pretty basic work. It also seems that an awful lot of coils (COPs) are being condemned without proving them to be bad.
