I need some quick help. I just got done putting a new EPC solidnoid and seperator plate on my wifes sport trac transmission. I put 3 quarts of fluid in it so far, started it up to circulate the fluid, then put it in reverse to back out of garage for clean up while I add the rest of the fluid. Well the problem is it gors forward in reverse. What did I mess up or dont I have enough fluid in it? I need help ASAP.
Its ether the manual valve on the valve body is disconnected from the internal linkage or the forward clutch is burnt so bad that it is welded together. Pull the pan and inspect the valve and look for burnt debris in the bottom of the pan.

Anybody have a picture of how the internal linkage and the valve should be? I dont think its the clutch because it all worked fine before I messed with it. Well except for a little slippage from 2nd to 3rd.
And actually I should update this. I finished filling it up, but nothing changed. Infact, when I put it into Reverse, nothing happens now. It doesent even act like I changed gear at all. So maybe it is that internal linkage.

This is from a different transmission than yours, but the concept is the same. The valve should index the metal pin on the linkage. Circled in blue.
