Need wiper relay
Hi Folks,
Just joined so pls advise if this post is misplaced.
I'm looking for a wiper relay (Motorcraft part D3TB 17C476 AA) for my 1977 Ford F150 4x4.
I've checked LMC and similar sites w/o luck.
Thanks for any help.

PS: I bought this truck new when was just out of college. Kept it all this time. It's a stepside. It has become a project vehicle for my 17yo son and me. Plenty of work ahead.

There's no stand-alone relay for the windshield wipers. Standard wipers have simply the motor and switch. Intermittent wipers have the motor, a governor, and a different switch. Chances are you can't find a relay because there isn't one. Can you be more specific about the part you're looking for?
By the way, welcome to FTE.

Thx, for your help. Some call it a "governor", some call it a "delay" and some call it a "relay". I have intermittent wipers (when they are working that is). The exact part has the number I mentioned ... Motorcraft part D3TB 17C476 AA. It's black, roughly a 1.5 inch cube, located in line between wiper switch and wiper motor. Inside the cube is a printed circuit board. I'm not sure how to be more specific than the part number and above description but give me some guidance and I'll happily oblige. Thx again.

@SparkyRnD ... Thx for your reply. Yes it is the delay. Motorcraft part D3TB 17C476 AA. It's black, roughly a 1.5 inch cube, located in line between wiper switch and wiper motor. Inside the cube is a printed circuit board.
Do you have a working delay for a 1977 Ford F150 Ranger XLT, 4WD, manual, 351M?

Javadaddy, The number you're posting is an engineering number, not the part number. Ford hasn't put the actual part numbers on anything since 1956.
The part number for the windshield wiper governor is D3TZ-17C476-A. Fits 73-77 F100-350.
One thing you might check, on delay wipers the switch must be grounded or the delay won't work. The switch is usually grounded through its connection to the dash. If the switch is just hanging, its not grounded.
BTW welcome to FTE.

they are all the same and will interchange from 73 through mid-80's. I'll pull the numbers on the two I have left tomorrow and will post up. For transactions, I take paypal at sparky@rndfabrication.com and can have it sent out the day after payment is received. I ship parts insured for the amount of purchase, and I provide a tracking number once it ships.

The story is that I bought this truck new when I was just out of college and have kept it for all these years. Now my son is 17 and he want the truck; it has beccome a long term rehab project. Last year we pulled and rebuilt the engine. It's good for him to actually know what a camshaft is and how it connects to the timing belt etc. This past weekend it was steering components. Plenty yet to do.
