trans prob!!!
i know this is not the right forum but i know there are people who view this that have great insight that may help me. i have a 08 ford edge sel with 70k on it. last week i had the dealer do a trans flush. i drove about 100 miles after that.I was being parked for 1/2 hour, i left a doctors office that sits on a hill.i left going down a 30% grade as i went to pull into heavy traffic the motor reved but nothing happened . i shifted between d , l and reverse and still nothing . after a 30 secs or so i finally got it stuterring in rev to get me back into a parking spot. i let it sit for 30 mins got in and it drove and shifted fine. i checked the fluid level and it was full.(yes i let the car sit idiling on level ground with the motor warm when i checked it)i took it straight to the dealer who told me it was prob a electrical connector prob.How i wanna know?..its been there since thurs and they still have no answers. any one know what may be up because obviously the dealer doesnt have a clue.thanks

these newer trans are electronically controlled. A connection that is loose or a wire that is grounding out is possible.
I would look over all the wiring to the trans.
I take it the dealer put it on the machine and did not retrieve any codes?

update , i just went down to pick the truck up because no one can duplicate prob and talked to shop manger. supposedly all they did was check fluid ,test drive and look up tsbs and its just been sitting there.they are going to flush the fluid again for me and give it back. they were no codes either which is funny because this trans i electical controlled and any loss of engagement or slippage was supposed to throw a code.

My currrent truck had a bad TCM. Showed up at 600 miles as a hard shift from 2nd to 3rd. Not normal.
I take it in and there were no codes. After while it got bad enought it threw a code.
