Transmission fluid type?
Hello,
I have been reading but am a bit confused.
I have a (New to me) 88 f250 with a C6 transmission and I need to add some transmission fluid.
What type should I use and where can I buy it?
Will most Autozone type stores sell it?

I'm glad to have someplace to ask, my dip stick states "Mercon"
The local costco has Penzoil ATF DexronIII / Mercon (12Q for $29)
Is this an ok brand or should I get something else?

I went out at lunch tried an autozone and an Advanced auto parts.
The only ATF with Dexron / Mercon is Castrol DEX/MERC
It did not state DEXRONIII on the package but said it was for all older Ford Transmissions except F and Merc5
