looking at 2 different f-250 trucks, 1 is a 2010 ,supercab and the other is an 09 crewcab. would there really be any difference in mpg between them? what are u guys getting for mileage with the 5.4 motor. 2010 has 3.73 the 2009 crew has 4.10s...please no b.s.ers.. coming over from an 07 duramax over to the blue oval . any real world rating would be appreciated.... thanks
cant help you with the newer 3v 5.4 but my 04 5.4 gets 11.5 +- around town semi aggressive driving...long highway trips at 70mph 14-15...supercab long bed 4x4 3.73
2WD or 4WD?
Have a good friend with a 2005 3V 5.4L crewcab shortbed. It has 3.73 gears, the 5R110 auto, and is an XLT trim 2WD truck. His in-town mileage is 11-13, and on the highway empty, he gets 14-17. Towing his 30+' enclosed racecar trailer (9950lb GVWR), he gets 8-10mpg @ 65 mph.
A 4WD would use a bit more, but I'd say maybe 1 mpg less in the same situations.

both are 4wd, i know that i wont get the mileage that my duramax gives me ( 17-18 all the time) but having issues with it so its time to go.i would say that my miles are 60-40 (highway-city)

well, if you plan on 1 mpg less than what I posted above-you should be covered, and won't be surprised.
