Edge Evoulution Racing Programmer

I have a couple of questions that I hope someone on here will be able to answer, I purchased an Edge Evoulution Programmmer and did not notice until I got it home that it was the racing edition, anyway I am going with the DPF delete and was wondering if anyone has towed with this programmer? I have a 13000# FW and towed it in level 2 on the way to camp and on level #1 on the way back and there seemed to be no problem.

Also, what are some of the tolerences for the 08 6.4 as I want to set the alerts up?

Transmission fluid temperature max
EGT's max
Engine Coolant

Thanks
Rob

I have the same tuner, went to 4" exhaust and an AFE intake kit. I tow on level 2 because I want to keep the EGT down but use it everyday on level 4. I think one of the big differences is how fast the turbo spools up. On a recent highway trip without towing I got awsome mileage on level 4. The temperature limits should be coolant at 205, transmission at 195 and egt I set at 1150 just so I get a little warning but apparentley you are good to 1450. I just like to know when I'm pushing it a little. When I spoke to Edge they said I wouldn't hurt anything if I kept my EGT's below 1450.

Thanks for the info, I will be installing the 4" exhaust along with the DPF delete so will see how that goes. Also I have the AFE intake and removed it because I kept geting P2002 codes and got tired of clearing them have you had any issue and do you notice a difference?

thanks

You will notice a big difference in power and fuel mileage when you remove the dpf. I used the AFE si which has the extra scoop facing the front grill to allow more air. I have never thrown a code with it. It makes the truck sound a little throatier more response and a little better mileage. I just have always believed the more air in and the more air out is the best. I am very very happy with the tuner, the exhaust, and the intake. I wouldn't change a thing. I went to edge because I have had lots of their tuners in the past and have been very happy with the products and service. The other thing was I didn't want a 300 hp tune and risk other componenets of the truck. I basically wanted more power and better mileage and the ability to delete the dpf. Rob, when you remove the dpf, take a look inside it and try to figure out how any air moves through it at all!

I usually get around 18mpg (US) highway with mine before the delete cruising at 108 to 110kph. I am hoping for 21+ afterwards...we'll see. I have it installed now, but I am running stock as my delete pipe has not arrived yet. This way I can get a good idea of the temps before and after anyways.
