front end high

I just purchased an 08 F250. The front end is leveled with a 2 or 2.5". I cannot tell if the rear is any different than it was from the factory. It has appeared to sort of sag in the back. When I loaded my trailer it sagged even more. I added air bags and now it just stays in the same place as it was without the trailer. I decided to measure the distance from the ground to the fender on all sides. The fronts are exactly 3/4" higher than the back. This bugs me, how do I get it exactly level or just slightly higher in the back?

I guess you've already tried inflating the air bags.

Yeah, I had 30lbs in them. I inflated to 45 and no change. I was hoping that would make the difference.

Have you thought about just removing the leveling kit? I have a 2" leveling kit on mine, and it sits fine. Although I had to replace the front two shocks because they were not long enough for the kit.

I would guess ypu could put 1 inch blocks on the back without screwing up anything.

I wondered that exact thing but when I looked back there, it appears there is a block in place already, which I would have to guess; that is how it came off the lot. If that is a 2" block, without stacking onto that, it would be just fine with me if I could find a 3" block which is probably not available. I'll make a couple calls tomorrow to see what I can find.

F-350 rear spring blocks should fix you up.

sounds like they wanted to do a leveling kit...but forgot the rear. They should have done a add a leaf to the rear in conjuction with the front leveling.

A 1" add a leaf is in order. That will also require new u-bolts.

The Add-a-Leaf would work but I think the kit wasn't fully installed. I put this kit in my '08 F250 and it came with (I believe) 4" factory style blocks with the bump stop platform.

Ford F250 Super Duty SST Hybrid Lift Kit: 2008-2010, 4WD Only - 2.5"/2.0"R

They give you the additional 1" you need to level the truck and I have not experienced any wheel hop/axle wrap because of them. If you call ReadyLift, I'm sure you can buy just the blocks.

Thanks for all the info. It looks like I'll be adding a leaf and new U bolts.

When adding the SST Lift Kit with 37", has anyone experienced wheel rub when making turns? The SST company specifies that using a 37" tire size on OEM rims will allow for enough wheel clearence. I have been looking at lift kits for a while but dont have the coin. These seems to be an alternative. Also, the shock extension bracket, does anyone recommend purchasing a longer shock as an alternative for the shock bracket? Dont know much about this product, interested in obtaining additional info. Thanks

I'm not sure about the SST kits - I bought a ReadyLift 2.5" Kit but still have my 35's on so can't answer that part of the question. I should have 37's on before the snow flies though. I did however, order new shocks - I didn't like the look of the extension brackets or the feel of the stock factory shocks. I purchased longer Rancho RS-9000's for all four corners. They ride great - not too stiff but not too soft either and they're adjustable to boot. Hope this helps...
