03 5.4L Alternator issue
Well I guess I have to break down and replace the alternator on my 03 F-250. The battery light was coming on when I got above 3500 rpm but now it's coming on more like 3200. Both the battery and belt are nearly new. BTW the problem started with the old belt and battery. I called Autozone and they were offering a 130 amp unit with a 6 or 8 groove pully. I checked Summit Racing and they were all over the place with the different amperage units they were offering. I also checked Autozone and Advance Auto online and both were offering 110 amp units online.
I was wondering if anyone knows what factory unit puts out in terms of amps? I don't mind upgrading a little but definitely don't want to go smaller.
Also I'm assuming I need a 6 groove pully since I counted the fan pulley as having 6 grooves?
2003 F-250 5.4L Supercab 4WD automatic, AC, etc.
